Pickleball Swings Into Inola
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes according to sources. Pickleball got its start in Bainbridge Island, Washington all the way back in 1965 and became very popular in the Pacific Northwest. The game recently started to gain a following across the entire US around 2020 and has only grown in popularity since.
Inola recently opened 2 Pickleball Courts located at Fleming Park that are open to the public. The courts are available on a first come, first served basis and are open from 6 am to 9 pm.
Fleming Park is located at 424 B St NE. and has been updated within the last few years to include new playground equipment, resurfaced tennis and basketball courts, a brand-new pavilion with picnic tables and much more for the public to enjoy!
