The Inola Police Department serves the community by protecting citizens and property, preventing crime, enforcing laws, and maintaining order. Our department's main goal is to contribute to the quality of life in Inola.
The Inola Police Department Officers cover the residential and commercial areas within Inola city limits and responds to nearby calls in the Inola area as needed.
The main goal of the Inola Police Department is to create and maintain a safe, secure environment for all Inola citizens. We strive to accomplish this goal through efficient, thorough investigations of crimes committed.

Police Office is open from 8:00 AM till 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, closed weekends and holidays.
The Inola Police Department has an immediate opening for a mature, dependable and motivated Police Chief and will accept applications until September 25th, 2022.
Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age and a US citizen.

Must have high school diploma or GED.
-
Must have a valid Oklahoma driver's license.
-
Must pass a background investigation.
-
Must have a clean financial background.
-
No felony or misdemeanors, or pending criminal charges.

No domestic violence or crimes of moral turpitude convictions.
-
Must NOT have a DUI, DWI or RECKLESS DRIVING violation within the last five (5) years.

Must be available Saturday, Sunday, and holidays for shift work and other times needed.

Must possess highly principled ethics and moral character.

Must have at least three (3) year Supervisor experience.

Starting salary of $24.50 per hour.

Duties as Chief of Police, but not limited to:
-
Patrol and take calls
-
Maintain and approve reports
-
Be willing to catch, house, and feed stray pets inside city limits

Communicate with surrounding agencies
-
Be on call to take call of service during hours officers are not on duty. (4am-8am)

Process and maintain evidence officers turn in.
We do not offer the state police pension
